Keep to the main Dublin to Cavan road (N3/R147) as you head towards Kells. You will notice Woodies Stores on your right. You will go over a railway crossing. Bolliden Tara mines is now on your left and a Toyota Garage on your right. About one mile from the railway crossing you come to the first road on your left. You are now at Newgate Motors and Gala Shop. You take this first left, leaving the R147. As you leave the Kells road you notice a road sign 'An Tobar'. Take the next left turn, there is an 'An Tobar' sign there. Turn right at T junction. An Tobar Lodge is immediately on your left within the entrance gates to An Tobar Retreat Centre. At night there are lights on our gate pillars.
